The Forever Young Skincare Cream
Dr. Messenger has been practicing in the cosmetic field for more than a decade. During that time, he took care of the areas under the skin with Dysport/Botox/Xeomin as well as with fillers such as Restylane, Juvéderm, Versa, Belotero, and Radiesse. His patients always had questions about starting a sound skin care regimen and Dr. Messenger decided to come up with a comprehensive, effective, and very affordable solution for them.
Dr. Messenger earned his graduate degree in Pharmacology while in medical school because he wanted to become a medication specialist. He put that training to good use in developing his facial cream over the past several years. He decided that since he could not find a product that had a combination of the ingredients he felt were necessary across all skin types, he would make it himself.
Dr. Messenger managed to create a potent, multi-ingredient cream in one bottle. Gone are the days of having multiple bottles and time-consuming steps. Dr. Messenger felt that apart from the unnecessary costs, using multiple steps made it difficult to maintain daily compliance. Who wants to do a five-step system right before you go to bed?
The ingredients are potent enough that they can only be dispensed with a prescription from a physician. After several trials over 2 years, he made the ingredients blend and mix in such a way that they are maximally absorbed into the skin. This will become evident the moment you first put on the cream.
He has tested the cream on himself and those with overly sensitive skin over the past several years and noted it is the most effective cream he has ever used. The cream is made with none of the harmful fragrances, additives, or preservatives prevalent in cosmetics today, such as phthalates, formaldehyde releasers, parabens, triclosan, triclocarban, and styrene. For a deeper explanation of these cosmetic toxins, read the “Cosmetic Toxins” page on his website.
One of the prescription ingredients is Retin-A (the generic is called tretinoin). Due to its collagen stimulating properties, Retin-A is one of the most effective anti-aging ingredients. Typical prescription prices for just Retin-A alone cost upward of $800 in some retail pharmacies. He even made it less expensive but far more potent than the overpriced department store creams which are nonprescription strength.
Dr. Messenger’s Retin-A cream costs under $150 and it has the hyaluronic acid moisturizer and antioxidants mixed in. His goals were to create an extremely effective cream at a price that everyone could afford. He named it Forever Young cream. Click here for Forever Young-PM Cream Application Instructions.
Forever Young truly is an “all-in-one” cream. Retin-A stimulates collagen growth in the skin creating a supple tautness while promoting healthy skin turnover. As a result, the youngest, healthiest cells reach the surface creating a youthful glow. Unlike over-the-counter, weaker “retinol”, this product produces the most robust response.
His built-in hyaluronic acid moisturizer reduces the dryness and irritation associated with other Retin-A prescription products. He recommends using it on multiple areas to prevent the development of drastically different skin between the face, where most of us put all our effort and the neck, décolleté, and backs of our hands. There are several strengths of the Retin-A ingredient. If you are new to Retin-A, he recommends starting with the 0.05% dose. He recommends starting it three times weekly at bedtime initially for 2 weeks before moving to a daily regimen to help your body acclimate and avoid overdried, flaking skin. In time the body typically acclimates, and patients can increase to the 0.1% dose.
Given it is a prescription, patients will have to cosign a document to allow him to dispense it. Retin-A can sensitize you to the sun and lasers, so Dr. Messenger recommends using a sunscreen with an SPF of 50 with all Retin-A formulas and stopping it 2 weeks before any laser treatments.
